Capturing Light
My favorite capturing light picture is the one on the top left. I took this photo late afternoon as the sun was setting. The light that I photographed for this image was from the sun. I took this photo with my phone while I was at the Cove restaurant. The light reflecting off the water lines up with the post on the ground leading your eye through the image. The shadow that accompanied the light is from the post on the ground. The light represents a calm and soothing mood especially because of the warm colors.

Mirrors
For my photo on the top left corner, I took it in the courtyard at SBRHS while it was partly cloudy outside. I placed the round mirror on the ground in the mulch partially underneath the plant. I took this photo almost straight on but a little to the side. For this image I put down the brightness and turned up the saturation. All of my photos are very natural and "full of life" because of the amount of green in all of them. My reflection photos are all about nature.
Cyanotype
1. Choose an image and convert it to black and white and then invert the image
2. Then we printed our images out on translucent paper.
3. Then you paint watercolor paper with the cyanotype solution in a dark room and make sure it is not exposed to any light.
4. Let the paper dry.
5. Place the translucent paper on to the watercolor paper and place it on a board. Then put a piece of plexiglass on top and clamp it all down with clips making sure to not let any light hit it.
6. Next you go outside and place it in direct sunlight for about 10-12 minutes.
7. Take it and rinse the paper with water until all the yellow cyanotype solution is removed from the paper.
8. Then dip it in hydrogen peroxide so the blues get brighter and then let it dry.

Analysis:
The light in the photo in the middle is coming from the ceiling lights above and to the left. This photo has both highlights and shadows. You can see the highlights from the lights on the mans hair and the shadows in the right hand corner of the image. The exposure of this photo is perfectly balanced. It is at the right exposure where you can see all the details in the image. The photograph is in focus. In this photo the shutter speed seems to be fast because it freezes the people who were moving and the man kissing the womens neck. This image is a shallow depth of field. Most of the image is in focus but towards the back of the image it starts to get blurry and not as focused. This photo is taken at the angle of someone standing up. The focal point of this image would be the man kissing the women's neck. It is not centered, it is slightly to the right but it is still the main focus. This photo is horizontal. He has clearly formed a foreground, middle ground and background. I like this photo because I like how you can see the man in the background grinning at the man kissing the womens neck. I am guessing it is her dad and he does not seem too happy about it. It kind of creates a mixed mood.
